The accounting period (Company Accounts) will be from the date of opening your Company to the end date established by Companies House - this will normally be just over a year.
Tax periods can only be a maximum 12 months. So the first period will be 12 months from the Company opening, and then the rest of the period will be the 2nd period (to the Accounting date)
